A flange is a component used to connect pipes. Pipes may be both, plastic or iron or it can be one plastic and one iron. Polyvinyl chloride or PVC is a widely used thermoplastic polymer which also been used for making flanges. In recent years, PVC flange has been replacing traditional flanges like iron and steel. There are many uses for PVC flanges because of its inexpensive nature and flexibility. These PVC flanges can be made softer and more flexible by the addition of plasticizers, the most widely used being phthalates. also help to replace the iron flanges used in water pipes and in pipes used in hazardous environment because of its inertness & strength.
