Something about air cleaner parts
Lift the cover straight off of the air cleaner parts. Empty the oil in the air cleaner into a drain pan. Wash the air cleaner base and lid in kerosene applied with a parts brush. Allow the parts to drain on layers of newspapers for several minutes. Fill the air cleaner base with fresh motor oil to the full mark indicated on the side of the assembly.
Wipe any remaining kerosene or oil from the outside of the air cleaner with a rag. Place the cover back over the top of the air cleaner. Lift the assembly straight up and place it back over the mounting stud on the carburetor. Make sure the stud protrudes through the hole in the top of the oil cleaner cover. Keep the assembly level while handling it to keep the oil from sloshing and spilling over the sides of the air cleaner. Replace the wing nut on the top of the air cleaner and tighten it finger-tight. Close the hood.
