PTFE Lined Valve basic information
PTFE Lined Valve refers to the lined valve which has taken the advantage of the properties of the PTFE. Then what is PTFE? In chemistry, PTFE is short for polytetrafluoroethylene,it is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene that finds numerous applications. In terms of the PTFE Lined Valve, the manufacturing material named the PTFE has done a lot of help for the practical performance.
Due to its low friction, it is used for applications where sliding action of parts is needed: plain bearings, gears, slide plates, Valves, etc. For example, is a one-piece valve body and has pure-modified (reinforced) PTFE trim parts, push-down-to-close action, and positive shutoff. With sophisticated PTFE replaced the previously used glass-filled or carbon-filled standard PTFE trim without any loss of mechanical or thermal properties and having improved the universal chemical resistance, it has excellent performance. This valve is mainly applied to involving severely corrosive and toxic flowing media and is well-suited for pure media applications as well.
